Your Body Doesn't Speak English

Imagine putting a lid on a pot of boiling water.

The longer the burner stays on, the more pressure builds. The pot isn't broken. It's doing exactly what heat tells it to do.

Your body works the same way.

It doesn't speak in words. It speaks in sensation.

A tight jaw. A racing heart.

A knot in your stomach.

Anger.

Anxiety.

Fatigue.

Those sensations aren't character flaws. They're communication.

Anger isn't created so you can sit and replay an argument. Anger prepares the body to act. Your heart beats faster. Your muscles tighten. Energy floods your system because your body believes it needs to do something.

When that energy has nowhere to go, the pressure builds.

The lid begins to rattle.

Eventually, the pot boils over.

For years we've tried to silence the steam instead of turning down the burner.

Healing begins when we stop treating symptoms like enemies and start recognizing them as messages. The body has been speaking all along.

It simply doesn't speak English.

Let the Fire Burn

(Technique to BURN what needs released)

Anger needs movement.

The body prepared for work.

Give it work.

Walk until you're breathing hard.

Climb stairs.

Carry something heavy.

Split wood.

Pull weeds.

Hit a heavy bag.

Do whatever safely allows your body to sweat.

The sweat isn't the goal.

It's the evidence that the energy is finally being spent instead of stored.

Then stop.

Stand still.

Don't distract yourself.

Let your body finish what it started.

Very often, after the fire has burned, the water comes.

The tears.

Not because you're falling apart.

Because the work is finished.

The sweat spent the fire.

The tears replenish what the fire consumed.

Your body already knows how to complete the cycle.

Sometimes healing isn't learning something new.

Sometimes it's simply getting out of the way long enough for the body to finish what it has been trying to do all along.

💛 You're Not Broken. Come Curious.

All My Love,

Astrid
