Life More Abundantly The Newsletter
"...that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." — John 10:10
📖 The True Cost of Resurrection
Maybe it's just me, but I always thought healing would feel like finally being understood.
Instead, I've discovered something I never expected:
sometimes the more you become yourself,
the less familiar you seem to the people
who have always known you.
As I've changed, some relationships have changed with me, while others seem to be holding conversations with a version of me that no longer exists.
I'm learning that resurrection isn't just letting go of old pain—it's having the courage to keep becoming, even when not everyone comes with you.
Maybe that's the real work:
not convincing others you've changed, but quietly living as the person you've worked so hard to become.
What if the greatest evidence of your healing isn't that everyone understands you,
but that you no longer need them to?
🌿 This Week's Practice
Opening to Life
Stand comfortably with your feet grounded.
Place one hand over your heart and the other between your shoulder blades.
Take five slow breaths.
As you inhale, gently lift your breastbone toward the sky without forcing your shoulders back.
As you exhale, soften your jaw, your throat, and the muscles around your eyes.
Notice where your body is still working to be accepted.
Then quietly ask yourself:
"What would it feel like to simply be who I am?"
Stay with that question for one more minute.
No need to solve it.
Just notice.
